Driver Intervention Program

Hitchcock Center for Women provides a non-residential, 13-hour Driver Intervention Program that is administered by licensed and credentialed alcohol and drug abuse counselor and assessment staff. Participants are screened through the use of ASI and MAST screening tools to determine eligibility for admission to the two-day program and/or if a referral is appropriate for further substance abuse treatment. This program is designed to meet the requirements of the Municipal Court System, but is also an effective prevention program for high-risk behavior for young adults, ages 18-25 years old, with the goal of decreasing the incidence of drinking and driving in this population.
