Residential Treatment

When you have tried every option and feel like nothing has worked.

Discover healing and hope in a safe, secure, structured environment.

Have you or someone you love been in the grips of addiction, feeling like nothing works? Maybe you’ve already stayed at different treatment centers, trying one program after another, only to relapse and feel as bad or worse than before.

Too often, the addiction itself is an underlying symptom of something else. At our Residential Treatment program, we help women recognize and explore unresolved traumas and mental health issues so they can overcome them and their addictions.

What makes Hitchcock Center for Women’s Residential Treatment program in Cleveland truly unique is that we welcome children up to the age of 12 to live on our historic campus while their mothers receive treatment. Keeping mothers and their young children together in comfortable homelike atmosphere reduces the family’s stress and allows them to focus on healing.

Do not give up hope. There’s an incredibly kind and compassionate community here ready to support you 24/7 on your path to recovery and prepare you for the challenges and opportunities ahead.

Program Highlights

Individual Therapy

This essential component of addiction treatment addresses the mental and emotional needs of women in recovery, giving them a safe space to address issues and acquire coping skills for a healthier life.

Group Therapy

As part of a comprehensive recovery plan, our group therapy allows our clients to connect with women going through similar challenges while working through problems, learning interpersonal skills and better ways to manage stress.

Medication Management and Education

Individuals with drug dependencies often need medications to foster sustained recovery. We provide a gateway to medication management and education through trained providers.

Occupational and
Recreational Therapies

Mothers and their children can participate in enjoyable art, music, and physical movement activities that allow them to express themselves and add purpose and structure to their day.

Nutritious, Family-Style Meals

Women suffering from substance abuse generally lack adequate nutrition. We prepare three balanced meals daily for families staying with us, made with fresh fruits, vegetables, and other healthy ingredients.

Essential Services for Children

Infants and children under the age of 12 are welcome to stay with their mothers on our campus while they receive treatment. Our case managers can help arrange transportation to a child’s elementary or middle school.

Transitional Housing

After you complete our Residential Treatment program, you may stay in our Recovery Housing with your children and continue to receive care and 24-hour crisis support, easing the transition to independent sober living.

Continued Support

We are committed to helping you establish a healthier lifestyle with supports in place once you leave our Residential Treatment Program. Employment assistance, counseling sessions, and checkups are all part of our aftercare planning.
